Product Application - GSM DetectorAs any home or business owner knows, leaving your property and possessions unattended can result in stress caused by the threat of crime. Any unattended home or business could be vulnerable to being targeted by criminals, with remote locations being all the more easily targeted. While many security conscious home and business owners choose to protect their property with a traditional burglar alarm, these systems can prove unreliable in the prevention of crime as they do not let property owners monitor the security situation in a remote fashion when away from the site. In modern society the sound of a burglar alarm is often more likely to be considered an irritation by neighbors than a cause for concern – and when an alarm is tripped while the property owner is away from the site, in many cases authorities are not even called in to investigate. And in remote areas, poor reception on mobile phones can make it hard for anyone aware of the security breach to raise the alarm. This leaves the door wide open to criminals who pay no heed to the sound of a blaring alarm, bells or sirens as they take what they want and leave. But, with a GSM alarm, home and business owners can be sure that the right people will be alerted in the event of their property and possessions being targeted by criminals. A GSM Alarm incorporates all the elements of a traditional security system, which allows for detection of intruders. However, with a GSM alarm, property owners are able to monitor the status of their property from any remote location via their mobile phone as long as they have a signal. GSM alarms use mobile network technology to send out immediate alerts from their antenna in the event of a security breach. Once alarm components have been fitted at the site in question, they are connected via a wireless antenna system to a base station incorporating GSM technology. The base station can be programmed to alert property owners, key holders or the authorities in the event of a break in – dialling out using mobile phone technology or even sending the alert via SMS. This removes the need for a landline connection for continued remote monitoring of unattended property, and in areas of poor reception, GSM alarms can be fitted with a signal booster to ensure that the alarm is always raised. This sort of GSM alarm can also give peace of mind to business owners with workers in remote locations, which suffer from poor reception for mobile phones, as the internal signal booster means that the alarm can raise the alert via it’s integral antenna, informing whoever is monitoring the system of the situation, even if an employee on site is unable to do so via their mobile phone. A GSM alarm uses a simple combination of security components, mobile phone technology, and signal boosting antennae (for areas of poor reception) to ensure that absent home and business owners are able to monitor the security situation in a remote fashion at all times. | ||||
